I can see a chimp
I can see a chimp that is walking with a limp
I can see a dog
I can see a dog who is jumping over a log
I can see a lion
I can see a lion that is called Brian
I can see a bat
I can see a bat is wearing a green hat
I can see a fox
I can see a fox that is In a box
I can see a cat
I can see a cat that is on a mat
I can see a rabbit
I can see a rabbit that has a terrible habit
I can see a lizard
I can see a lizard that has met a wizard
I can see an alligator
I can see an alligator that was a creator
I can see a pig
I can see a pig that was doing a jig
I can see a turtle
I can see a turtle that was called Myrtle
I can see a fish
I can see a fish that was about to be on a dish
I can see a panda that was digging up a Uganda
I can see a cow
I can see a cow that was pulling a plow
I can see a sheep
I can see a sheep that was in mid leap
As the air wafts in a seagull’s mind
it is a gentle breeze flowing past a crystal
clear ocean
that shimmers in the soft pitch black air
overlooking
big and grand and fine restaurants
with lovely food and nice wine and
laughing people having a blast lit proms and most of all a
city
YOU SHOULD EAT OR
DO FISHING IF YOU COULD
WHATEVER YOU DO STAY IN THE WOOD
OR THINK YOU FEEL good BUT I ATE A MEAL
OF FOOD AND THATS HOW IT GOES FLEW
You should eat
Or fish
If you could
Whatever you do
Stay in the wood
or think you feel good
But I ate a meal of food
That’s how it goes
I love the beach. I love the tide.
You and I watch it glide.
I stand there as the waters land
And rush upon the silver sand.
When the fierce waves go by
And the white horses leap so high,
I race against the speedy tide.
Against the tide, it is so wide.
The sun is drifting in the sky.
On the sea, a boat sails swiftly by.
I lift my head and gently think,
Watching the glittering sunset sink.
Who leaves home when told to?
and who thinks breadcrumbs will last?
Who enters a stranger’s home?
and eats as if the food will last?
When will children learn?
Life is not some fairytale
You have no fairy godmother
and anyway she would fail!
Stranger danger – have you heard of it?
Hansel and Gretel could have died
and if a child reads brother GRIMM
I am certain they would have cried
Dreams are the key to your life
You have to cut them open with an imaginary knife
They won’t let you sleep until you fulfil your dreams
Dream the impossible!
