Crocodile Tears

by Olivia Matthews aged 10

My Mom says, ”Leave the tears with the crocodiles.”
But sometimes I have to go a different way than that ,
Sometimes I can cry a river that will go for miles,
and I know they can’t cover that .

It’s SPRING!
We’re visiting the king
He’s king of Greece!
There’s lots of geese
We saw a PRINCESS
LATER we went HOME
Playing with some foam

Covid 19

This virus is deadly
We heard enough already
Most people have died
But the others have survived
It came out in 2019
It is almost like a crime scene
Make sure you wash your hands
And don’t fly over lands
This is Covid-19
Take this seriously

Trees, trees
I love trees
They sway and say hello

A Cute Pug

A cute Pug,
sat on a rug.
A Pug had many wrinkles,
and it loved sprinkles.
I love the Pug,
I gave it a hug.

The Wind is strong
I hope I am not wrong
This might be a storm
Luckily I’m safe and warm
Now it’s ended
The trees are splendid

Things You Don’t Know About Me

by Chelsea aged 8

I am Chelsea
I have a brilliant family
They make me dinner they make me lunch
but sometimes too much
I love them, I care
I have a disease called diabetes
It can’t spread.
Don’t worry.
I kinda like a cage and a bed
I had it ever since I was 2 years old.
My family fought to save me
I wish I did the same.

Grace

I have a friend called Grace
when I call her she doesn’t call me names.
I like her as a friend.
And that make sense.
I wanted to say to her I would take a bullet for her
I would jump off a cliff for her
and you don’t have to be perfect just be you
Thanks Poetry Zone, you’re the best
And I’d do those things for you too.

My class calls me Diana
And also I don’t sneeze
I think poetry is fun just like me
I love family
I like bunnies fluffy a
and definitely not drool
I love them as much as you.

Facing Your Fears

0
by Molly aged 9

Do you dare step into a world
Through the portal and down you whirl
Is it in thhe chest, or under the bed?
What do you fear? What do you dread?
Is it a basement, is it a noise
Is it a staircase or a pile of creepy toys?
Whatever you find scares you most
It will be waiting, zombie or ghost
Ready to creep up, creep up and bite
Scare your soul and give you a fright
Back through the portal slam the door shut
And never return there, never again but…
Your fears can still get to you, portal or not
You must use the bravery that you’ve got
To chase all those pesky fears away
So you can stop worrying and play all day.
