Glow

Look!
In the sky!
What could that be?
It’s so bright it lightens up the night with just one glow.
Reach up and touch it. The powerful glow can make a boat row,
It wakens all the animals large and small
It brings peace together with just that one glow.
Now I’ll tell you this thing that I want you to know
You can lighten up the world with just one tiny little glow.

Glamping for Fun

1
by Daniel aged 11

Glamping with activities for fun
Seeing the marvellous reflections when you’re done

A tree’s leaves sing and the wind applauds her
On my dry lips, freezing water.

The beaming sun is as hot as an oven,
Blazing fires by the dozen

As the yellow circle falls from the sky
Bright looking mini-suns catch the eye.

Stargazing as the amazing view stuns,
As the sun runs the staircase to the sky

I love the way all these things say “hi” and “bye”

Moon Night

by Ghita aged 10

The stars are bright, you can see them tonight
I feel this friendship tonight from the ground to the sky
The moon is so bright like the stars tonight
Now it’s night the moon comes out to say good night
The stars circle around the moon because friendship is all around

Oh no, there is a problem.
My brother has ripped a piece of my book out
I don’t know what to do.
Could I go to the shop or search the book up
and read that I’ve got a problem?
I don’t know what to do

I found a dragon in the street
I fed it some chicken,
I fed it some ham

Once there was a cat called Kevin
and he loved everything
He went to the market to get milk
His fur was soft as silk
and he loved to drink milk

A hot burning volcano
Bright like a Phoenix
Lava poring out

Burning like an oven
Cooking a giant chicken
Blazing hot

You can’t even stand it

Sunset

As the sun sets
Children lay their heads
Parents sit down watching TV
As the sun sets
The sun sets at 5 o’clock
