Some say the world will end in fire
Some say it will end in ice…

Misty the Cat

by Eva aged 9

Misty is a tabby cat
I love her
She is sooo tiny
The dog is her sworn enemy (well, probably)
You just want to hug her

Though she can be vicious she is still adorable
Happy times is all you feel around her
Eva (me) is her owner well one of them

Can you feel how adorable she is yet
And how much does she cost – not much (well to me she does)
The end miaow that means bye

Spring

1
by Isla Froberg aged 8

The snow is melting
The sun is helping
The frost retreats
The birds finally eat
The cool breeze blows
Beneath the clouds
The soil softens
The trees take a bow
The animals wake from hibernation
The trees happily blossom in decoration

Ink Patterns

by Jack Mclean aged 7

It’s a misty swampy fog
It’s like fizzy, colourful Fanta
It’s like a fat lazy slug blobbing through the slimy grass
It’s as blue as the shallow sea in Hawaii
Going down to the deep into King’s Ocean

The Rain and the Clouds

1
by Ruheen Lamba aged 11

A conversation between the rain and the clouds
Let me out, said the rain
Not quite yet, said the cloud
I am just waiting for my time to come
Just don’t start a flood

A conversation between the rain and the clouds
I want the thunder and lightning right beside me while I pour
Just please let me go
I will let you go in about five minutes
Now, now, now! I want to pour

A conversation between the rain and the clouds
I want to be free dancing in the air, said the rain
You need to have patience
Oh my god, it’s almost time
And it’s your time to shine

Shanky Wood

by Lily V aged 10

Ronaldo, Messi, Pele
They’re all very good
But you don’t know the best of all
His name is Shanky Wood

He has won 16 World Cups
For Laladyland
What an amazing player
The best of all he’s a Golden Baller!

He does a big kick into the air
And he has his own celebration
But you can’t him score
Because he’s all in your imagination!

My Dream Job

1
by Emmie-kate Jarvis aged 10

My dream is to be a scientist
you cure people and diseases
work in a lab with chemicals.

So many opportunities
so many things to discover
so many role models
who have uncovered amazing things
like new periodic elements
and new scientific equations

I want you be just like them
and achieve spectacular things
they are my inspiration
and one day I hope I can make
ground-breaking discoveries like them
and follow their footsteps
and not just making the future of science
but being the future of science

Snowman

by Ella aged 9

Today the snow falls fast and fresh
from the sky of Parrish blue
It danced all across the world
so I started dancing too

In Cyprus I across my arms
and circle round my hat

Dad

0
by Dexter Brant aged 10

He is a hot oven with a blazing glaze, many chewed up wires but a very nice inside.
He is a holey Golf cap, with stitching as beautiful as daybreak,
he helps me with all my flaws, my favourite piece of clothing.
He is an untuned guitar, he gets me through my shows without worry.
He is a hillside, rough and treacherous, only letting loved one’s pass,
warm inside like a volcano, my favourite hill to climb.
He is a rusty bike with muddy wheels, always helps me over the holes in the ground.
A smile when I am feeling sad.
He is midnight, he is dark and light.
He is vodka, clear and full of emotion.
His smell is sea water, salty and sour, he helps me to swim.
He is a thunderstorm when I do something wrong but helping me to win.
He is a Rhino, crashing into me when I least expect it.
He is a black hole.

The Earth

by Harrison aged 7

The Earth is full of lovely sounds
I hate that some places are out of bounds
I love my friends from all my care
Sometimes they say stuff that is not fair
