The thirst in the desert
But no Hussain doesn’t feed himself
His heart giving wealth
When he sat on Zuljinah
Everybody’s heartbroken
When he fights in the bloody arena
The day of Ashura comes
Everybody cries
As hope quickly dies
The day is sad, tears fall
We remember Hussain standing oh so tall
They think of the martyr and all He faced
Our hearts are heavy, happiness is chased
The best leader, Gone
The Shias world torn
Next came Yazid
His ugly cruelty released
Terror came, kind and gentle thoughts ceased
The memory of Hussain brings a deep sorrow into our hearts
Allsorts
The Poem of Calmness
What would you pick from a rock or a stick?
I would pick a stick!
I look into the sky while I’m eating pie.
Ooh! That’s weird! My pie chose to fly!
What do you want to eat?
Well, I’m in the mood for a bit of meat!
Oh, the car in front of me is slowing down! Better change my gears!
What’s happened here? Wait here, Ruby! Cheers!
Sunny Saturdays
Saturdays are fun when it’s sunny.
We’re finding Easter eggs from the Easter Bunny.
Yummy, yummy, chocolate eggs.
Clothes on the washing line held up by pegs.
Rabbits hopping around happily.
They have a beautiful family.
Sunny Saturdays are fun, Hooray!
Aunty Aliyah’s Family
Auntie Aliyah’s armpits are absolutely absurd,
Gentle Jake juggles jiggly jars of jam,
Talkative Tyler tastes tangy truffles,
Little Leo licks a lemon lolly pop,
Dramatic Dylan drives in decorative dungarees with a dozen dirty Dalmatians,
Under a sunny, sapphire sky, sizzling Summer
sleeps soundly in sinking sand since slobbering over a salty salmon sandwich.
Spring Lambs
silly,
pouncing at birds,
rings a bell,
incredibly cute,
nicest thing to stroke,
galloping around,
little,
ambitious,
mischevious,
bouncy,
spring lambs!
Winter Turning
Wistful winds run through the barren trees,
Icicles glisten like chandeliers in the freeze.
Nature rests in a silvery glow,
Tracing soft patterns in the blanketing snow.
Every breath is a frosty plume,
Reflections of beauty in winter’s quiet bloom.
You Have Flowers
You have flowers, you have hours.
Listen to some music, oh, that’s correct, tick!
Wasting a lot of time, eating a lime.
I am Harrison and there’s no comparison!
The Black Cat
The black cat was walking down the stair
The wall slightly brushing his silky hair
His paws glided down little and fair
While his fierce little claws screamed danger beware
The cat’s long silky tail gently flicked the wall
His steady arched back looking ever so tall
He searched for food, he never felt full
While the little cats posture said clearly I rule
The cat stretched out his furry black toes
And slowly twitched his button nose
His eyes glowed red just like a rose
And when the door is open out he goes
His tiny fluffy ears were flat like a pancake
He ran so fast you could hear the floor shake
His fur was so perfect it could have been fake
And he hungrily tucked in to his big juicy steak
To My Amazing Mom
Mom, you shine so big and bright
Like a star that glows at night.
You work so hard, you give your all
Lifting others when they fall.
Training at the hospital,
So Strong, so kind, so wonderful!
Helping people, making change,
Your heart is big, your Love is great!
So here’s a hug so warm and tight
To tell you that you are my light.
I love you more than words can say
Happy, Happy Mother’s Day!
Rosey the Rabbit
Rosey is my bunny
she is so funny
her hair blows in the wind
but she doesn’t mind
she hops around
if she is lucky she will win a pound
she eats the grass
she is really fast
but she might come last
I don’t know
but she isn’t slow
