Midnight Castle

1
by Jia aged 9

The shivering of the clouds
The howling of the night
It struck 12
And it was midnight
The starts were shining
Oh so bright
The sky was full of so much delight
The chimneys filled
With so much smoke
The driver decided to sail off in a boat
Stepping out of the bus in disguise
Was like a cat stepping on mice
There he was… the floor crumbled
‘Master master,’ was all that he mumbled
‘I’m here for you I’m here for you.’
The ghosts in the town were not new
The shadows lurking in the castle
The walls rattling like a rattle
‘Call me your master and obey my disasters.’
‘You will have your chance to shine bright in the sky
but obey my amazing disguise.’
Disguise?
Disguise?

There was a mighty elephant who was fat,
He dreamt about being a cat,
And sitting on a hat,
Or lying on a mat.

My brother came out from my mum’s tummy,
When he came out his nose was runny,
And he was very funny.
The first word he said was MUMMY!

The greatest relationship
In this world is that of a friendship.

The best love is friends’ love.
And there’s no higher love
than this love.

Friendship is a precious thing
Friendship is love with wings

A true friend means
one who helps in every difficulty

My Story

by Ethan aged 12

I was born in Eastbourne
I had 8 family members and I wasn’t looked after well
so I had to move.
I lived with my Nan and Grandad for a bit
because my nan was ill
I didn’t want to live with my mum and dad any more,
another move
Into care I went, having to swallow that pill

When I was nine years old
I came to a residential home

Excitement of this World

by Vasudha Bharose aged 12

In this world everyone has some blessings,
But some have life-living wings,
Someone has wishes, swings,
And someone has feelings.
So, ln this world I love living.

In this world all is precious,
Something pretty and something dangerous.
World has nature, nature is green and surprises.
Nature has trees.
Trees are rounded and some trees are coniferous.

In this world has some people are crazy,
Some people are sad and some are happy,
Some things are funny and some are busy.
All the world is beautiful and colourful.

The Boy

by Samiksha aged 10

The boy stood in front of the inn,
Holding a big blue bottle,
Bam! He broke the door,
And sat on the best ever table.
“Oh dear lord! It’s the boy!” they screamed,
they screamed, they screamed

The boy told his mother,
“I shall be the strongest in town!”
and the next day he was!
He said, “I shall be a clown.”
And the next day he was
he was, he was

The boy told himself,
“I want a mansion, I will have a mansion!”
The very next day he had it!
His very own l mansion, beautiful and lit,
he got what he asked every time,
every time, every time!

bright eyes bloom
the night together
we will fight through the night

I sleep to dream to sleep
