You

Roses are red, violets are blue
No one hates you
And if they do I will still up for you.
I would never bully you
It’s ok just be cool.
Roses are red, violets are blue
Don’t be ashamed
I am here for you

Me

Hi I am 8 years old.
I hate to see a friend alone
so IU go up to them and make a show.
I got a best friend Grace
and she is beautiful too.

Day

by Chelsea aged 8

24 hours today and every day.
1 koala each hour would be too much.
24 teachers is a lot
24 students would won’t be that much.
I got all I need but some off them are really stuck
Bye bye now
I love this soo much.

Bagel

by Charlottei aged 11

bought it from the shop
in each bag six
spin the plastic open
doing professional tricks

take the one on top
crumbing everywhere
I should probably mop
there’s even crumbs stuck in my hair!

slice the baked treat open
revealing crumbly flesh
drop into the toaster
stuck between the mesh

POP! The toaster’s done
I take the bagel out
covered in melted butter
“IT’S MINE!” is what I shout…

Harley Davidson and his Bad Mother

1
by Charlottei aged 11

Harley had a bike
It went VROOM
He didn’t like to hike
Nor stay in his room

His mum Ms. Davidson
Wasn’t proud of Harley
She’d say “Stay hidden”
As she drank “barley”

But Harley went out
And adjusted his bike
His mum would just shout
But I’m just like:

When your son’s got a business
Worth 600 mil
But you still shout
Loud and shrill

You’re a bad mother

Tea Party

1
by Charlottei aged 11

Wrote the invitations
With love and care.
Forgot to second think –
What if nobody was there?

Got the sweets and candy,
Of course chocolate cake!
Spent money on an oven
so the treat would bake

Bought balloons and party poppers,
A tea set – brand new.
Sang a couple of songs,
whilst standing in the queue.

Sent the invites out,
Next prepare the tea.
All my friends would come –
and make a memory

Soon the day came,
And I had such glee.
Giggling and dancing,
Shimmying happily.

They’re a little late,
Is what I thought first
Three hours later…
I’m about to burst!

Dark mascara tears,
Salty and black.
Greedy – eating chocolate
Now there’s no turning back!

Now I’m no longer hearty,
I give up on my party

A Little Plant

0
by Lucy Gardner aged 9

There was a tiny seed in the ground
Soon there was a little plant
It grew to one foot tall
Then there was a little flower head
Bigger and bigger
Soon it was fifteen feet tall
Then there was a huge flower head

Flowers

Flowers can bloom
They will bloom soon
Flowers are colourful
They make me smile
Once in a while
They come out in spring
And they sing, sing, sing
The voice of joy
Like a boy with a new toy

I love their colour,
It’s like my mother,
Make me feel,
The lovely warmth
Of you and me
Going for
A beautiful walk

People love them
Love and joy
And beauty
Never a disappointment
To everyone
So have a great day
