What Do You Want to Be?

by Ava aged 10

What do you want to be?
Maybe you can be an agile acrobat
or maybe you can be a vivid veterinarian
that takes care of a cat.

Maybe you can be an evil editor
or maybe a marvelous mediator.
Maybe you could be a pale pet walker or
a noisy news talker.

But remember you’ve got to dream
big because life without dreams is a
rotten cabbage.

Remember you’ve got to dream big
because life without dreams is a
shattered window.

Some people say you should get a well paid job
you ought to do all your homework,
you must not be a slob
but don’t worry what others tell you to do,
you can just be you

You could be lazy,
you might win the lottery.

Remember you’re free to be
now tell me what
do you want to be ?

Dragons Are Great

0
by Elsa Y aged 9

Beasts who destroy
Horrible creatures
Home blowing things
Night noisy fire breathing animals

A dragon
A beast?
NO NO NO

They are beautiful beasts
Amazing creatures
Home warming things
Night-calming breath-taking animals

They may be mythical magic
But they are better
For they lighten you on dark stormy days,
Care for you

If you would respect them
You’ll ride them through clouds

Just love the DRAGONS

Artist

Picking up the paintbrush,
I always have an idea or two,
I think of these ideas,
These ideas grow,
My imagination does the work,
And soon the ideas are flowing,
Out of the little door in my mind,
Down through my arm,
Into my paintbrush,
And onto the page,
To create a beautiful painting.

Only Dreaming

A jungle,
With the bright light shining through the trees
A river,
With the reflections of all who have faced it
A desert,
With the hot sun conquering all darkness
A city,
With the loud noises of happy, busy people,
Then I wake up.

Best Friends

Friends are not good, they’re great
Friends are not friends, they’re mates
Everyone working as a full team
Nobody ever being mean

Helping each other as they fall
Helping everyone jump over the wall
If you were below another sk,
Away and really high

You would have (O friends) none,
That’s it, you’re done!

Friends are amazing!

Cat and Rat

by Smita Katare aged 10

I have a cat
She is so fat.
Cat saw a rat.
She ran behind him
But when she saw
Rat and his team
She ran away
And she never returned to that way.
She was sad,
Because rats are bad.

Nature

Through the trees,
I spotted
a jar full of love
(that’s all you need)
swarming with bees
collecting their nectar for honey
A cute little dove
swimming in the pond
with its mummy’s hug
by its side,

Meteorites and Meteors

All day, all night,
They start to race,
Shining rainbow light,
They catch up their pace,
Such a sight,

Like stars they shine,
Altogether with precise time,
1, 2, 3, 4
5, 6, 7 more!

Plastic Pollution

by Adithi Pratap aged 9

Plastic pollution, plastic pollution,
We need a big solution,
Stealing all the aquatic life,
To them it is a knife,

Whales think that it is prey,
You cannot shout Hooray,
It is really bad,
The animals eat it like they’re mad,

Bottles, Syringes and toys,
About it, don’t be coy!
Help, Oh Help, I will shout
Soon the whales will lose their spout,

Poor animals, they are sick,
“Oh No!” You will mimic,
And if we litter more,
Our lives will not soar,

Mother nature provided it,
Rubbish plastic is not a hit.
Vote against using the thing,
Toys, syringes, bottles and springs!

Help the environment!
