Grasshopper grasshopper

Grasshopper, grasshopper
what do you chew on?
I chew on the moon!
You got a tune!

Grasshopper, grasshopper
How smart are you?
I am not very smart
So don’t be rude!

Grasshopper, grasshopper
How long do you travel?
Not very long
But sometimes it goes wrong.

Grasshopper, grasshopper
Are you exuberant?
Of course I am!
Because I have a helper
Called Sam.

Grasshopper, grasshopper
What do you hate?
I hate writing because
It is just like a fight

New School

0
by Daisy W aged 11

Seven years flown right by,
My whole life fluttering away,
Now it is the time to say goodbye.
See you again someday

Hello new school,
Out with the old in with the new,
Many more marvellous years,
Spent with you

I miss my old school but deep inside I know,
That I had to move on to thrive and to grow

The World

0
by Ella aged 10

Do we even care about Earth,
do we care about our planet?
We set the wild life on fire,
then all we say is “oh damnit.”

Find the dogs,
then put them in cages.
We have been doing this,
for ages and ages.

People bomb countries,
just because of religion,
I don’t understand this,
what’s the definition?

Muslims, Christians, Jews,
and more,
We get treated differently,
but what for?

We need to stop this hatred,
if you like it or not,
We need to save Earth,
Before it gets rot.

Why is the world like this?
I liked it more before.
So help us save our life,
before God opens the other door.

Awful Moments

by Diya Joe aged 9

The coughing moon slipped
As he was looking on his phone.

The twirling leaf glided
As she was playing on the slide.

The giggling pencil cried
As she became blunt.

The bolting dustbin tumbled down
As he was racing in the Olympics.

I’m a Tree

0
by Teresa Manimala aged 7

I’m just some wood in a cargo box
Carried by a fellow ox
But they don’t care what’s inside
They just take me with pride

I’m a tree, I’m a tree
I long to be free
It’s me, it’s me, it’s me

You can use some of me, some…
But you use a lot to get the job done!
What if you were wood,
And couldn’t do what you could?

It’s me, I’m a tree
I long to be free
You just see half of meee

I give you air and care
But you just take me for granted
I have green leaves
But don’t make me lean to the ground

I’m a tree, I’m a tree
I long to be free
It’s me, it’s me, it’s meee…

One day there was a little girl called Anna
Her mother said that the house was too small
So she packed up and left the house
Her dad sent her mother off
So then Anna came home.

The Sun

by Larna aged 8

Oh sun, you’re so bright
I wish you could be bright all the time
I wish you could stay here all the time
you make me feel happy
you make me feel bright
you make me want to play all day long
I wish you could stay
so I could have more fun
Bye bye sun

Awesome!

A land far far away

Which is made of gold

Some people say the strongest men
could not get there even though they fought

Maybe one day it could be solved!

Over the moon over the seas
Maybe standing
the land of the best

Moons and sea are connected to lead
a treasure at the end
At the moment not so far a way
a monster eating some gold and hay

An extraordinary adventure
wouldn’t you say?

When the Tide Comes

1
by Alice Press aged 9

When the tide comes,
Anything that remains
Will vanish,
For the sea to gain.

When the tide comes,
Does anything come out,
If so
How does it go about?

When the tide comes,
Who will it spare?
Is it alive,
Does it really care?

When the tide comes…
I wonder what is tide?
Is it slim
Or is it wide?

When the tide comes,
Is it as fierce as a bear,
Or will it steal,
Then return to its lair?

What really is tide,
The wind or the sea,
Dead or alive,
Could it even be me?
