A Clown Speaks

0
by Tanuri Thumbowita aged 18

In the light
I was the clown of your comedy

But every night
I moan for my own tragedy

It was not the just a memory
It was a repeated mystery
In my own sorrowful history

Life

by Eshal Hasan aged 9

Life is a feeling of sorrow, life is a pain,
Life can be interesting in its way,
Look up and see a sky,
Can’t help but wonder what’s up high,
Meeting your Soulmate, making some friends,
It’s true,
Life ends,
Hopefully not in a den,
You can live,
As happy as can be,
But I must warn you,
There will be an end to see.

The Lost Girl

0
by Darcey aged 8

Once upon a time
a girl who was 8
went to the woods on her own
Scary
She saw something green
she got closer and she saw a snake
It started chasing her everywhere
She got lost
and she ended up in a lake
She was soaking wet her
Her parents were so sad that they lost her
and she never showed back again
Dear God bless
That girl’s name was Amelia?

Climate Change

0
by James Thomson aged 12

The world we’re on is slowly heating
Every year the record’s beaten
This can’t go on
In thousands of years we may be gone
The problem will still be here
Unless we act
We endanger the children of the future
With an Earth
That is better than ever
So next time you litter
Stop, and think
Of the damage that you may do

First Time in Love

by Chelsea Plata aged 9

Hi, I bet you’re reading because you have a crush?
Well, being weird in love you know
It will fall for you when you don’t know
Is it a boy or is it a girl?
Who knows when it will come?
WooooOOOO!
Hehe, hehe
It’s crazy what you’ll see
You need some one who will be kind
And willing to be truly in love

by Chelsea aged 9

Hi I’m Chelsea
I like to be called Lexi
My friend calls me Twellsey
I don’t know why
My best friends are kind
My family is kind

In the morning I don’t wanna get out of bed
When you step into my class lots of drama comes
The teachers teach
The students speak

I find Maths easy
Umm, maybe English as well

It’s crazy I know
But my class is lovely

Funny Brown Bear

1
by Lizzie Brook aged 9

I love Brown Bear,
He’s fluffy and cuddly,
Funny and jumpy,
All day long.

He cutely looks at pictures,
Can often be quite nosey.
But he always says kind words.
And he really makes me smile.

He has nice brown eyes,
And a cute smile,
He wears a patterned cape,
It’s quite small and red.

His tail’s really tiny,
His nose is very mini,
His paws are big and huggy,
I love funny brown bear.

Autumn is Here

0
by Samiksha aged 10

Dehydrated leaves escaping their home,
Finding their way on their own,
All the green becomes gold,
As it is too much for the tree to hold,
With the wind the bare trees sway,
All night and all day,
All the windows covered by mist,
As farmers work hard to harvest,
Pumpkins and costumes; Halloween soon,
Gazing at the glorious moon,
Hedgehogs start to hibernate,
And birds fly south to migrate
As autumn is here…

Nonsense Poem

by Elsa Y aged 10

When the sun comes up
Like an egg
The cow moos
Like a peg
The deer goes to the theme park
To snooze
And the mole
Does a dance
The cloths
On the washing line
Fly up to the stars
In a rainbow of black
Spreading it across the sky
