Forgiveness

by Alexandra aged 11

We’ve been ignorant and jealous.
We have kicked without knowing.
We were lame and didn’t notice,
That the world was getting worse.

We were mocking and neglecting.
We have asked and haven’t listened.
We’ve been showing off and making
Fun of those who didn’t know.

But right now we have all changed.
We have helped and we have glanced.
This is why we asked dear God,
The forgiveness that we want.

Greedy RAT

0
by Alexandra aged 11

It all started in a ruined house,
Which never saw a single mouse.
But on a sunny summer day,
Two clever mice stopped for a stay.
They thought they’ll stay just for one night,
As it was very warm, they liked.

Next day, they started with a pray,
Then started t’ look for food,
Or anything that could be chewed.
The day flew by
And then the weeks,
Until the family was six!

Four little hungry mice
And only one was looking nice.
But despite that he was so fat,
He started being greedy RAT.

All day alone, he ate a lot.
Was never scared to be caught.
His weight was doubling every week,
As well he learned a fight technique.

But even this didn’t help him,
Because he couldn’t ever swim.
It was a storm on a rainy day,
A river washed the mouse away.

Since then, no one had seen the mouse.
Not even his mother or his brothers.
No matter how in life you are,
Your family, it is your star.
They give you birth and all your life,
Will direct you with proper guide.

Pain in the Rain

by Elsa Murphy aged 11

Once there was a boy in pain
He really, really, doesn’t like rain.
And then he told an answer to his mum
Come on Brandon please be calm.

And then he told lies to his dad,
His dad says to Brandon don’t be bad!

Climate Action

by Natalia aged 12

Climate change,
is something we are all going through,
So we need to act fast,
It something that is sadly true.

It is about plastic too!
It is everywhere,
And it is ruining
The lovely, healthy air.

Climate change is affecting the world
In lots of different ways,
Here are some examples,
Floods for many days.

Also mother turtles,
Cannot lay their eggs,
Because of the sea levels,
It hurts their legs.

Tree deforestation ,
Is cutting them down,
So let’s plant a couple,
Around our town.

Let’s stop plastic packaging,
In many shops,
So we can replant,
Our precious crops.

So my poem,
Comes to an end,
But remember this,
Share it with a friend.

Treat the Earth,
Well and good,
And the Earth will treat you back
Understood?

Do You Remember?

0
by Laila aged 8

Do you remember the lives who fought for freedom?
Do you remember the people waiting for their loved ones to come back?
Do you remember how hard it was to succeed?
Do you remember the people willing to plead that soldiers would come home alive?
Some of the lives came back but also some did not.
Thats why the 11th of November is to remember those who fought and were forgot.

A Slave Song

0
by Akanksha aged 9 1/2

I’m brought, I’m sold
I am controlled
I’m living a terrible life
I feel so rejected
so dejected
I’m living a terrible life

What can I do to avoid this misery
such pain but no thought?
I really can’t stand this any more
but there’s nothing to do but to wait

I am the Golden Hen

I am the golden hen
who lays the golden eggs
and if you want me to
I’ll lay an egg for you.

Bird’s Eye View

0
by Charis Ripley aged 9

Among the sky high trees
In the ghastly breeze
I heard a terrifying sound
Coming from the ground.

I can see people running here and there,
Just like they don’t care,
My fellow larks are freaking out,
But I’m not sure what it’s about.

Screaming so loud
In the huge crowd,
People lie in the mud,
I think I can see some blood.

Friendly folks,
A lot of blokes,
They’re not stopping,
People dropping.

Bones lie on the floor,
I can’t take any more,
Holes dug in the dirt,
Lots of men that are hurt.

I think it is finally done,
In the glistening sun,
The loud bangs have gone away,
Is it done, done today ?

Red flowers growing row on row
Below.
Graves everywhere,
People must really care.

Not perfect

1
by Brooke aged 9

Don’t let the vague darkness give blindness in your eyes;
Let your heart illuminate both the beauty and the lies.
You won’t last in this life not reading between the lines;
And getting conquered with pain, with all those hurtful cries.

This life ain’t perfect, in mind, a thought to keep;
There are times you’ll have no choice but to pray wind your hands leaped.
Be prepared for surprises for events may quickly flip;
Or else you’ll lost your grip and far away you’ll slip.

Autumn Leaves

by Spring aged 10 1/2

Autumn Leaves are a feast of vibrant colours
Mugs of hot soup to fill up your belly
Every step to work or home is a crunch crunch!
Out come woolly hats and wellies
It’s most of the Earth’s favourite season
Because all the others are much duller
