Don’t Let the Animals Do That!

2
by Diya Joe aged 9

Don’t let the Indian tigers
Bite your fingers.

Don’t let the flamingo
Get ready to go.

Don’t let the kangaroo
Bounce on you.

Don’t let the squirrel
Quarrel.

Don’t let the rabbit
Do a split.

Don’t let the bat
Pat.

Don’t let the mouse
Break into your house.

Don’t let the monkeys
Steal your keys!

I’m going out for a moment.
Why?
I’m Bored.
Why?
Because I haven’t played anything today?
Why?
Because I don’t want to.
Why?
Why don’t you stop saying why?
Why?

The Journey

0
by Eleanor Austin aged 9

We were a family playing happily

but a war came rapidly.

The war took our dad,

which made us very mad.

Our mother was talking to another,

which made us leave with my brother

We left at twilight with no light,

in the forest I had a fright.

We arrived at the spikey border,

but a guard gives us an order

Guards chased us,

we paid a stranger to help us and he said yes.

We saw a glistening sea,

on the ocean we were set free.

We saw a speck of land,

and finally we stopped being mad.

Bullies

by Audrey Hodges aged 12

Tearing me down
Wishing me gone
Being mean
Why?

“Try not to listen,
Instead try to glisten.
Be kind, be caring and be you.”
That’s what I’m always told

But it’s hard
To ignore
This never ending
BULLYING

Haunted House

1
by Freya Morbey aged 8

No one goes to the haunted house
boarded windows and doors
you hear ooooooooohs
ghost moans
witches compare who’s face is in more despair .

People shiver and scream
if you’re around on Halloween
skeletons roam around the halls
on the creaky floorboards
Mummies moan, witches laugh
still no one goes to the haunted house

In the darkness you may find a creepy bat
or two a vampires
sneaking before the creaking animals
running to the main person
Mr Shiver’s white and mouldy brain
in the house lab
and as time passes
he gets even more insane
shouting things from his mouldy old brain

He says to his maid, Fetch me corpses, hair and flesh .
It has to be perfect and divine
In the haunted house
it’s always spooky time.

why?
