Our Future

1
by Ismaeel Bahadur aged 11

I am your future see me now,
I am your planet hear me now,
To protect and nurture is our job,
If we want a brighter better tomorrow.

Plastic floating,
People fighting,
Children crying,
Families starving,
Is not our job.

Let our hearts beat as one,
Love is the only one,
Together we can fix so much.
So let’s roll up our sleeves,
A smile on our face,
Let’s be one with our nature.

Let’s get our planet’s heart beating again.
Let’s stop and help,
Tidy this mess,
For our future is now,
Let’s make tomorrow shine.

Witches and Wizards

4
by Zariya Aatif aged 10

Witches and Wizards
In pitches and blizzards
Their power will always grow,

Witches and Wizards
With spiders and lizards
Sometimes they’re high, sometimes they’re low.

Witches and Wizards
Always shivered
As the night grew very cold,

Witches and Wizards
They always shimmered
As their bags were full of gold.

Witches and Wizards
Always snickered
As other people fell down,

Witches and Wizards
Their mouths always glimmered
As they wanted to laugh out loud!

A Dolphin is Grey

0
by Diana aged 8

A dolphin is grey
and I am blue
as the sky
when it rains
and blue as the sea
when it sings with the wind
The dolphin is grey?
I think the mood went away
form sunny gray to bluey grey

What’s Life for? To open the gate.
Just go and use it, don’t hesitate.
Fill your heart with memories.
Have as much fun as you please.

Beauty

by Teresa Manimala aged 7

Confidence is Beauty.
Intelligence is Beauty.
What is Beauty, you ask?
Beauty is an art form of who you are.
It doesn’t necessarily have to be prettiness.
It’s more than that!

March is a lovely month for lambs to grow
In this month lovely flowers grow
Children play outside all day long
And this is the poem of March.

Why Can’t I Be

1
by Shiloh Anaset aged 9

Right now it’s time to go, I really need to go.
Oh no, why me not you, I need a nice sweet so.
Gone forever by friends, it’s time you remember.
Er… something. Oh no, Roger Stevens let me enter.
Right so I said to you I will always be on poetry zone.

I wrote Roger in the acrostic poem.

Shine

0
by Shiloh Anaset aged 9

Sometimes when the sun falls down and there’s only sadness days.
Ha ha –  will you stay, stay under the moonlight of forever joy?
I feel better feeding a horse something called hay.
No, but if I shine, not dive right in.
Ellie the elephant rides around. Ha ha, she says.

This is an acrostic poem look down at the side.
