Queen’s Jubilee

2
by Millie aged 9

Singing and dancing
Waving the flag
Eating picnics
Of scones
And tea
With sandwiches
For it’s the Queens Jubilee

Dressed up
In red, white and blue
Festivals
Parties all day
Into the evening
Chanting the National Anthem
For it’s the Queens Jubilee

Life or Death

0
by Eve aged 11

I lie awake waiting for another year to pass
Another age
Another time
Everything goes past in a blur
You block all the people out
Forgetting memories of years ago
We all die and another life begins

Life

by Rala aged 12

Life can be crap
Sometimes we just want to curl up in a little ball
Be away from the big wide world
We don’t like crowded places
But sometimes we just have to get though it

Oh, oh, look how cute
the beautiful sunset is so cute
Oh, oh, look how cute
the beautiful sky is so cute
Oh, oh, look how cute
the beautiful fairy lights
are so cute.

Busy

by Raven aged 11

Everywhere is busy
Cities, towns, and even buses
There is probably no place to go
Where all you can hear is silence
Sometimes we wish for peace and quiet
And sometimes we are glad of the noise
Nosie can keep us safe
It’s fun listening to the sounds around you.

Happy Father’s Day

by Zainab aged 9

I’ve only been with you
For just a little while
I can’t say the words
I love you, so I say it with a smile
Right now I feel the safest
When your arms hold me tight
As you cuddle me so gentle
So I fall asleep at night.

Positive Thoughts Only

by Zainab aged 9

When you’re down
You should always tell a teacher
Or a friend or a family member
That would always make you happy
And when you’re happy and your friend.is sad
You should always talk to them to make them feel happy

Oh Santa, Oh Santa

0
by Zainab aged 9

Oh Santa, oh Santa
Are you real or are you fake?
Are you true or are you false?
I want to know so tell me
So tell me or I’ll cry with no glee
Do you want that?
Or Christmas will be ruined for me

The City

0
by Milan aged 8

Lamps turning on
Trees swaying
Houses jumping
Grass rapping
Clouds beatboxing
Buildings screaming
Roads clapping
Cars reading
Shops fighting
Leaves littering
Sun dancing
Moon partying
This is my city

The Earth Needs Help

by Zainab aged 9

We’re killing the Earth
That’s really not fun
We only do it because we are young.
Throwing plastic in black bins
OMG the turtles are sick!
So recycle some plastic
Recycle some glass
Recycle some card
