The sky is red
and I’m feeling dread,
I do not know what will happen next.
the sky is yellow
my dear fellow,
I’m sorry for what happened here now.
The sky is like death.
We may all take our last breath.
I’m sorry what I had to do,
I really didn’t think it through.

Friend…s?
Why’s it hard to trust someone?
But so easy to hate?
Why is it hard to be loyal?
But easy to betray?
Why can’t I find a good enough friend,
Or is it me who’s not good enough?
No matter what I’ll have one friend
Me, myself, me alone.
Why can’t I find where I belong?
Or do people just keep changing that…
Why can’t I find true friends?
Is it me, is it them is it fate?
Why does nobody like me?
I don’t know why or what made them like that…
Am I a good person?
Or is what they’re saying true?
Are they just lying?
Is it really me or you.
They Walk Amongst Us
They walk amongst us, but in silent ways,
spreading peace and love without any praise.
When thunder roars and lightning strikes in rain
they watch over us, healing bleeding pain.
Yet we do not see their celestial light,
nor do they shed feathers within our sight.
Happy to hide behind unknown faces,
empathy guides them to deprived places.
Heal and soothe, they prevent tears from flowing,
touch our hearts to leave our spirits glowing.
From Sydney to London, Rome to Bombay,
provide moments that take our breath away
Their acts of grace form a ripple effect,
kind gestures that help people to connect.
The Devil of the Sea
Majestic creature, all powerful,
Swaying in the current,
Others are oblivious of
Its elusive violent torrent,
It poses, it preens,
Mesmerizing its prey,
Naive victim becomes drawn in,
Unknowing their life ends that day,
Because beauty is not all good, at all,
Fluorescent colors hide the demon within,
Deceiving many an animal,
Committing many a sin,
Because, when it seems the most lovely day,
The wind at a lowly stream,
A shocking sting, the wind just sings,
In chorus to the throbbing scream,
The lightest of touches, like a feather,
Renders the victim frozen,
For its satanic power and black magic,
Remains to harm unbroken,
An eerie silence fills the sea,
As the breathing suddenly stops,
The waves turn to stare at the sea,
The breeze just suddenly stops,
There it goes, swanning away,
With enchanting grace,
Inconspicuous serial killer,
Murder without a trace.
Funny Friends
Lovely Lexie likes lemons.
Energetic Evie eats earth.
Reckless Rick rides reapers.
Careful Chrissie calls carrots.
Awful Andy armed an AK-47…
Pen Patterns
A chalky tyre track
An alien’s shadow
Slippery seaweed
A deep ocean crevice
Fierce crackling fire
An amethyst shard
A deep muddy ditch
Darkness from a meteor strike
Walk to School
Walking to school is so much fun,
It’s time to talk and skip and run!
On my way, I see a car,
Why don’t they walk, it’s not that far!
Walking to school is an easy solution,
Avoiding cars and skipping pollution!
Walking will give you health,
And if you have health, you will have wealth!
Walk to school everyday,
Especially in the month of May!
Music
Music is the best.
Music is the best you see.
Listen to music when you’re feeling sad or low.
Listen to music when you’re happy and full of unstoppable glee!
Music is full of rhythm and tune.
Nothing is better than music
(Other than reading.
This might not apply to you
but it does to me.
I read as often as I possibly can.)
Music! Music! Music!
Love music!
Like me.
Why I Love Summer
I just love summer
there’s just so much heat
it’s part of the reason
I can’t just go to sleep
We get a break from school
and we can go in the pool
summer is just so cool!
The flies are revived
they’re everywhere
I can hear the buzz
from my chair
I could talk about it all day
but now I have to snooze away
