Nature is Everywhere

by Cho Thae Oo aged 10

Nature is everywhere
Nature is everything
Everything that lives and grows is nature.
Animals big and small.
Nature is plants that grow so tall.
Nature is beautiful in every way.
Wonderful, exciting
It needs our care.
So listen, learn and do your part
to keep nature beautiful forever.

Scooting though the School

0
by Ellie-mae aged 10

I was scooting through the vents
one night at school
on a run down skateboard,
that was super cool.
I was scooting fast
the ride was tight
But I think I turned left
when I should’ve turned right!
I crashed through the vent
And went crashing through the air
like Shaq O’Neill
Don’t call me BARE
Don’t call me ZERO
I just tried to be a superhero!

Miranda from the Tempest

Perfect and peerless
Created of every creature’s best
Her mind is full of love
With an attitude of zest
Her heart is so kind, so sweet in many ways
You could look at her smile for hours,
Maybe even many days

Summer Holidays

0
by Ollie Medlar aged 10

Summer holidays just await
Soon they will all leave the gate’s.
Tomorrow there’s ice cream
Today lets all scream
As the school year has just come to a beam.
School donations go to people with no vacations.
Then an odd truck with a lot of muck
and a very weird look and a wife called Brook
and we think he’s a crook but he only came for look
at the great big summer holiday book.

Life Goes On

0
by Sienna Dewdney aged 9

Life goes on
After you’re gone
Love will come with you

You meet, you pass
You find somebody that lasts
Family will always be with you

You make one family
You make another
But you’ll always get through it together
There will always be someone beside you

Carry on, carry strong
Someone will always find you

You see a family helping another
And that’s what makes the world better
Somebody passes, somebody comes
You’ll always meet each other

Alarming Alliteration

by Charlie Peacock Pinnell aged 11

Intelligent Isabelle imagines icy inadequate imps,
Jealous joyful Joshua judges giant junk juggernauts,
Lazy Leo loves luminous long Lego lightsabers,
Malevolent Millie makes mighty microwave monsters,
Athletic Abigail arrests attractive and atrocious aunts.

The Galaxy

by Abdirahman Abdi aged 9

Galaxies are cool but it would  be nice
if they had a pool
Outside the galaxy is a universe
There could be millions, a billion, trillions, quadrillions,
a quintillion, a septillion, a sextillion, octillions
or even nonillions or an infinite number
But we all know this galaxy
has a exquisite center
and we cannot enter a poem in the galaxy
because it has no signal

Tree

by Evelyn Reilly aged 9

The trees are resting in the freezing cold
Rest, we all need it to survive
Exercise, we need it to live long
Enjoy your time on Earth, we don’t all have long.

Save the Trees

by Evelyn Reilly aged 9

Save the trees,
All of our oxygen comes from them
Venus, no trees it comes from
Earth needs the trees, so do we

The trees give us oxygen, do you want none?
Him, her, they want the trees to stay, do you?
Everyone relies on the trees to live, we need them

Trees do a good thing, not bad
Remember, trees give oxygen
Even trees think you should stop
Everyone that cuts our oxygen down,
SHUSH

Summer

1
by Ellie Mae aged 10

I love summer,
the nostalgic feel
playing in long grass
and the trampoline feel
It’s fun to have summer
with no homework
and no school
It really is the best holiday
Don’t you think that’s true?
