The English Boy Behind the Tree

by James aged 9

The English boy behind the tree
Who everyday is in misery,
Rejects going to his class
The teachers don’t get such a fuss.

His mother’s exasperated
Her son refuses to be educated,
Every morning he’s the same
His face looks grumpy and so plain.

His brothers’ efforts are exhausted
He’s still declining to be jolted,
The principal came out of the gate
The English boy is always late.

Whether in sunshine or in rain
His mood’s unfailingly the same,
Rather he feels ashamed
Or maybe he’s in pain.

He’s missing home and all his games
At school everything seems to be lame,
No one even cares about it
No one seems to mind it.

I love you

You love you
and we love
them
Every time I call
It is love
But roses are red
so how
are they love?
By their heart.

Baby Steps

One step, two steps
The baby wobbles
Three steps, four steps
The baby toddles
Five steps, six steps
The baby jumps up
My dad says I used to do that

Summer when your mother moans
Time when you finally tell someone you’re mine
My dog dropped off a log and said bye
Also dad is very mad !!!

Just listen, everything calms down
You can’t tell what’s going to happen tomorrow
Always a mystery, always a chance
Just calm down and focus
Today !!!

Stars

High up the sky dims soft blue
Suddenly, dots appear showing the way
A misty cloud shows the life
All your hopes and dreams are right there
Free love says the dark sky
Your option…
