I stare at you
You stare at me
The deep hazel eyes piercing my soul
Searching for answers
“Tell me what happened”
They say

I stare at you
The rosy cheeks glistening with sweat
Tension filling the air
“Who are you?”
“What are you?”

I stare at you
Pink lips, brown hair
You look like someone I know
But you also don’t

I stare at you
Questions racing through my mind
But I should know the answers
Because you are me
And I am you

And yet I still stand
Staring at you
Wondering if I will ever know
If I will ever understand
Who you are
