Beware! Low Flying Rabbits Ahead

This is an excellent book by Roger Stevens. It was first published in 2011 by Macmillan and my favourite poem is ‘Teacher, Teacher’. When I first read it I found it funny and I still do. Another great poem is ‘Humpty Dumpty’. It tells the story of Humpty Dumpty but in a poem. That’s clever.
Overall I would awarded this book 10 out of 10 because it’s funny and the drawings look like the ones on the Poetry Zone. I wonder if the drawings are by the same person.
This is my all time favourite poetry book.

Thank you Daniel. I’m very pleased you like the book so much. Of all the books I’ve written it’s one of my favourites. And yes – the illustrations are by Nathan Reed.

Well, I was driving home the back ways to Brighton once, and I saw a sign that said Beware! Low Flying Rabbits. Apparently some model plane enthusiasts had left some planes on the Downs and some of the rabbits learnt to fly them. And so I thought that would be a great title for the book. Then, when I had the title, I wrote the poem.
