Winter

by Olivia Arguirova aged 10

A bleak white blanket covers the valley,
Wind howls like a banshee through the alley,
Snow comes down and nips your cheeks,
People haven’t been outside for weeks.

The icicles like sharks teeth in the mouth of the cave,
The animals in the forest have been very brave,
The tall fir trees have snow covered branches,
Cosy and warm is inside the ranches.

The clouds walk across the icy grass,
Kids are running very fast,
Santa is coming really soon,
They get home when they see the moon.
