The Secret Bully

by Ruby East aged 9

You’re hiding somewhere eyes can’t see
Spreading mean things
all about me
Why me?
Could have been anyone
I’m the 180 on the dart board
and the target of an arrow
or I could just be LEFT ALONE!!!

I don’t know who you are
so it’s hard to be mad
I don’t know who you are
but you still hurt so bad
You’re an invisible curse
I can’t see you which is worse.

I need help
but who can I tell
about the invisible man
who’s hurting like hell.

Great poem, Ruby! And if anyone reading this IS being bullied via the internet or phone – do tell your parents or your teacher. There are ways it can be stopped.

That’s really really good! I like the rhymes and repetition of I don’t know who you are! Wow!
