Seasons

by Dihini Wijesundera aged 10

Each year there comes spring
Babies of animals it will bring
Little birds sing here and there
And flowers bloom everywhere

Summer, next you come
The weather turns warm and the bees hum
Babies grow up a little
And we can hear the robins whistle

Autumn comes when the weather turns cool
Leaves fall making a pool
Animals go and find food for a special reason
It is for the very next season

Winter is when snow and ice form
Everyone tries their best to stay warm
Children like to make snowmen
Hibernating animals in spring will be woken
