George the Kraken

by Eddie aged 10

My name is George the Kraken

I was born when the world was made, from a giant sea volcano

I have seen the Greek gods

I have seen the first humans

I saw Rome falling

I know whether aliens exist

I know who made the world

I know the mystery of time travel

I know if heaven exists

I am the largest being on Earth

I can move at sixty miles a second

My name is George the Kraken

Hi Eddie. Good work. I’ve put the poem into lots of short lines. Can you see how that starts to make it more like a poem, and adds little rhythm? It was great to meet you all.
